State Chamber’s Leadership Nebraska Accepting Applications

Monday, February 5, 2018 - 5:15pm

LINCOLN – Applications are currently being accepted for the State Chamber’s Leadership Nebraska program, which prepares individuals to play a larger role in their community and state.

Applications must be received by the Nebraska Chamber on or before Friday, April 13, 2018.

Leadership Nebraska is beginning its eleventh year of developing informed leaders who wish to gain more in-depth knowledge about Nebraska issues.  This unique program helps participants define problems, develop solutions and achieve positions of higher responsibility, all while they are building strong statewide relationships.  Participants are selected from different regions of the state, and they possess varied backgrounds and diverse talents.  Successful applicants will have demonstrated community and professional leadership experiences and must have an abiding interest in Nebraska and its future.

The year-long program consists of six sessions, each of which lasts two days.  The sessions cover a broad range of issues that are important to Nebraska, including economic development, health care, education, agriculture and state government.

Leadership Nebraska’s next class will begin with an orientation retreat in June at Nebraska City's Lied Lodge.  Other sessions will be held in August, September, October, November and January.  A commencement ceremony will be held in Lincoln in February 2019.

The application form and all session dates can be found at

Tuition for the 2018-19 class is $2750, which includes the cost of meals and lodging.  Scholarships for the program are available, based on financial need.
